Focus & Insight – A Reflective Photography Exploration of Barcelona

In this immersive workshop, you’ll embark on a fun and creative journey that combines photography with personal reflection. Through carefully crafted prompts, you will explore both the vibrant city of Barcelona and your inner world in a way that’s meaningful, engaging, and full of discovery. As you walk through the historical streets of the Gothic Quarter, you’ll engage with the city in a fresh way, capturing moments that are not only visually compelling but also rich in personal significance.

This experience is about more than just taking photos; it’s about creating an artwork that resonates deeply with you. The images you produce will reflect your unique perspective, offering insights into your own life and circumstances. This workshop is a chance to be creative in a fun and engaging way, offering you a fresh perspective on yourself and a mindful engagement with the city of Barcelona. At the end, you will also leave with a photographic print, a piece of contemporary art that you have created and that speaks to your personal experience and engagement with the world around you.

What We’ll Do:

• • Gather and Prepare: We’ll meet in the gallery space to discuss the workshop’s approach, go over creative prompts, and explore how to take photographs with intention.
  • Reflective Photo Walk: With your prompts in mind, we’ll walk through hidden alleys and plazas, using photography as a way to explore both the city and your own perspective.
  • Reconvene and Discuss: After the walk, we’ll reconvene in the gallery to review your images, reflect on what they reveal, and explore the power of captions in shaping meaning.
  • Print Your Story: You’ll select a favourite image to print, creating a unique piece of art that captures both Barcelona and your way of seeing.

Rather than just snapping photos, this workshop invites you to slow down, observe deeply, and use photography as a tool for reflection, discovery, and storytelling.
