HumanCamera Workshops

I offer a diverse selection of workshops that blend creative photography with personal growth, critical exploration, and storytelling. My reflective photography walks invite participants to engage deeply with their surroundings, fostering a contemplative approach to image-making that encourages both creative expression and personal reflection. Through hands-on experiences with pinhole cameras, I guide individuals in embracing the creative and fun analogue process of photography, which is also a slower, more intentional process of capturing images. Additionally, I facilitate longer workshops and retreats that integrate photography with storytelling, encouraging participants to explore their personal narratives and cultural contexts by creating meaningful artwork that always finish and publish exhibitions.

Central to my work is the concept of Critical Visual Literacy (CVL), which underpins many of the workshops I lead. These sessions encourage participants to critically analyse visual culture and develop a nuanced understanding of how images shape and are shaped by societal norms. CVL sessions combine theory with practice, offering participants tools to explore representation, identity, and the role of photography in the digital age. Together, these workshops offer a creative, fun, and reflective space for exploration, self-discovery, and the cultivation of a deeper connection to the world through the lens of the camera.
